Map Magnet Memories
At the beginning of 2010 we introduced a line of fridge magnets illustrated with our pictorial hand drawn maps that we added to our Journey Jottings range of Australia Map Journals, Mail-It Maps and 12″ Scrapbook maps ~
Regions covered by our Map Magnets
We started off by covering the major cities such as:
Sydney
Melbourne
Perth
and the south west of Western Australia
Brisbane
covering from Fraser Island down to Byron Bay
And then we added more to cover more of the outback regions of Australia too ~ Such as:
Bourke in outback NSW
out to the famed Cameron Corner (where 3 states meet!)
Coober Pedy up to Alice Springs
and the
Gulf of Carpentaria
(Can you spot the lurking crocodile?!)
To see more, they’re on our website:

Happy travels 😀

What a novel idea! No surprise they’re taking off. Good on you, Linda! Hope you sell a truckload more! P. 🙂
Thanks Paul ~ They’re a fun and useful memento ~
In fact I’d go as far as to say they really are a must have for any discerning fridge owner 😉
They’re certainly … attractive! 🙂
Funnily, I was thinking of something more along the lines of… beguiling, captivating, transports…
but then I guess that’s the art of a copywriter isn’t it to be minimalistic, simple, to the point ~
If not at times a little bland 😉
I toyed with ‘magnetic’ but that was too obvious.
Of course, given two weeks and $5000, I could come up with a MUCH better word! 🙂
LOL I must confess I have used their customer ‘pulling’ prowess along the way to convey, as you toyed, their magnetic appeal!!!
Is the $5000 negotiable?
Hmmm.
I suppose I could do two words for $7500.
That’s a 50% saving on the second word.
But only because it’s you! 🙂
Appreciate the mates rates 😉
The magnets are so fun! The closest thing I have is U.S. state-shaped magnets. I only buy a state magnet if I’ve actually stepped foot in the state. Last count I think I had about 33, but I need to add a few. Sometimes I display them on our fridge. My goal is to get all 50.
Can’t wait to hear when you’ve made it to 50!!!!
We certainly get people contacting us to fill in the gaps from their travels with our map magnets 🙂
