Swamp Paperbark Trees, Australia
Paperbark trees are so quintessentially Australian, with their peeling trunks.
There’s a swampy area I walk past most days.
This week I actually stopped to photograph it 🙂

I love these shots! Can I say a swamp tree looks romantic?! 🙂
Absolutely ~ I agree 😉
Such beautiful trees. Our indigenous people used the bark for so many purposes.
They used our entire natural surrounds to such effect ~
I feel pathetic by comparison relying on a ‘shop’ for my needs.
Gorgeous photo. I love paperbarks but It takes all my effort to peel them! I love the feel of the bark and the sensation of stripping the bark. Very naughty I know 🙂
I’m thrilled that you’ve stopped to take the time to feel the sensation of paperbark running through your fingers.
I wonder how many people have done that? 😉
Nice photographs. You made swamp awesome.
Thanks ~
It’s a beautiful piece of woodland 🙂
