Purnululu – The Bungle Bungles in the Kimberleys, NW Australia

We had a call this morning from the Bungle Bungles – Purnululu National Park – up in the Kimberleys in the north of Western Australia ~

In the Dry Season in northern Australia they experience beautiful clear blue skies and perfect temperatures for travelling and exploring the Kimberley region in the NW.

They were calling to order more of our Kimberley Map Magnets, which are popular with visitors touring the region –

It made me hungry for some travel!

So I went on a virtual tour ~ Here are some photos of the:

Who would think a humble fridge magnet could magic carpet me away on such a wonderful virtual trip 😀

  1. Ding! I just put two-and-two together… I saw your fridge magnet and thought: “You surely can’t go selling those!”

I reached into my cupboard, found my own Map Journal and discovered the link between the maps and your blog. I had no idea.

Now I look at it, I have no idea how I had no idea!

Very impressive. Perhaps you could nip over the Tasman and do one for NZ before I leave next year?

  2. Well, we had two of them. My girlfriend spent a while illustrating our journey, but she sent it to her nieces in the UK. Mine is blank, more of a keepsake. We’ll try our level best but it could be a while. Great idea to highlight them.

  3. Would be absolutely great if your girlfriend’s brother/sister could have scanned/photo’d a few of their favourite bits off her lovingly illustrated Map Journal and emailed!
I’ll be patient… (as she *taps finger on table* 😉

Tut tut not adding a few dots and the odd jot to yours 🙁
I could of course say, its never too late…
In another few years you’ll remember even less than you can now 🙂

  4. Ha! I’ve almost convinced Reb (my girlfriend) to recreate her masterpiece 😉

(If I did it, I’d ruin your brand in a few pen strokes!) Watch this space.
