100 Aker Wood & the Acorn

100 Aker Wood map

is my earliest childhood recollection of a map.

Drawn by E. H. Shepard it appeared (in black and white) on the endpapers of A.A. Milne’s book, Winnie the Pooh.

100 Aker Wood

The pictorial map of 100 Aker Wood (sic) perfectly illustrates the spatial relationship between Pooh’s home to those of his friends; as well as charmingly encapsulating some of Pooh’s more memorable moments such as where the Bee Tree is, where the Woozle wasn’t and where the heffalump trap was set.

  • The map simply summarizes Pooh’s stories on a single sheet.
  • Creates a visual keepsake of Pooh’s trails and tales.
  • It highlights Pooh’s adventures.

This is where it all began…
